Analyse critically how research and practice developments can be Essay - 1

Analyse critically how research and practice developments can be disseminated to enhance the quality of the student learning exp - Essay ExampleVarious health care stakeholders have been funding research studies on various issues adjoin the nurse practices. All this is meant to achieve the much touted quality healthcare delivery in the society. Such research and practices need to be communicated to the nursing professionals to boost their capital punishment. learning of information is one of the greatest challenges that affect many nurses (Gerrish & Lacey, 2010, 490). It is therefore important that they are given sound theoretical training that is result oriented if translated to interoperable applications in the field. Dissemination of information during learning among the nurses significantly explain their future performance in the field when assigned duties. It is therefore imperative that the methods of imparting such concepts are taken through critical assessment and all t he factors taken into consideration. Information cost is one of the nigh important aspects of high standard performance of the leaners when they come into substantive life situation (Bergin, 2013, pg 2000). One of the most effective ways of ensuring that there is penetration of the ideas in learners is engaging them in the research arena and requesting for observable findings. Learning is more effective when observation is done since pictures and objects seen makes more sense than what is merely said. It is proper that learning is backed up with a cud of drawing diagrams so that it would stick in the brain of the students in such a way that they are able to cerebrate the theoretical work with the real life work (Exley & Dennick, 2009, 221). Nursing requires high accuracy since it deals in human life and therefore should be practice oriented so that not a single concept is missed as this could cost a lot (Power, 2008, 21-5). Creation of a motivating and engaging learning environ ment is one of the most appropriate approaches that can be applied in improving the nursing students mastery of the concepts and how they relate to the real life clinical practice. This may be achieved by involving the students in group assignments where they will brainstorm. Group work assignment may also be extended to research study where the students are given a given topic which they breakdown and undertake independent research before presenting as group to share their experiences. It is important for the tutors and nursing instructors to emphasize on the significance, relevance and integration of theoretical work and the knowledge with the professional practice with the aim of developing solutions to real life global health issues. It is advisable by the NMC 2010 nursing students spend more than 50% of their time undertaking practical. This may sink better by giving individual illustration of skills that are applicable in a specific topic so that the learners can create a pic ture of the possible practical scene and take deeper interest in the assort (Keele, 2011, 34-56). It is important to ensure that the research covers various social problems that pertains to health challenges in the society so that the can begin to understand the directions of what they are studying and relate this with some of the experiences they have had as victims and not as nurses (Masters, 2009, 22). It is advisable that the syllabus structure of the nursing discipline need to put emphasis on day-after-day field work which will involve interactive session of the students with patients and other clinicians in healthcare facilities (finkelman & kenner, 2013, 135). Assignment 2 - Essay ExampleIt tracks the chain of events that lead to the differences, right from Stage 1 through to Stage 4.Stage 1 occurs in a society that is yet to experience any level of industrial development. This stage is characterised by high gear CDRs and CBRs, which be determined by natural occurrences such as extreme weather conditions and plagues. At this stage, family planning techniques do not exist even if they do, they are not practised because of the high value of having many children. Children are seen as a source of income due to the contributions they make to their families through carrying out tasks such as collecting firewood, fetching water, herding animals, and taking care of their younger siblings. The more children one has, the more respected he is this keeps CBRs high. On the other hand, food supplies and sanitation standards are exceptionally first gear. This translates to poor health standards, keeping the CDRs equally high as the CBRs. The result i s a balance between birth and death rates, which translate to low population growth rates. This, in turn, keeps populations low. This stage is characterised by improved food production and sanitation levels (Jean-Pierre 60). These, together with other improvements to human life such as in technology and healthcare lead to a reduced CDR, while the CBR remains high. This creates an imbalance, resulting in exponential population increase. Most developing countries, in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East and Asia, are experiencing this phase of transition. These include Afghanistan, Nigeria, Uganda, Mali, Yemen, and Palestine. This stage marks the turning point of the transition process. It marks the transition from agriculture establish economies to technological advancements. Women are highly educated and have access to a host of birth control measures. There is an increase in income and reduction in the value of children as sources of income instead, they become a

The Role of Emotionfocused Theory in Functional Assessment Essay

The Role of Emotionfocused hypothesis in Functional Assessment - Essay ExampleJohnson credits Fritz Perls with the experiential gestalt concept that is critical to EFT (Greenberg & Johnson, 2005 Johnson, 2003). In the experiential approaches, the stopping point of therapy is . . . to increase awareness of emotional experience so that it is available as orienting information in dealing with the environment, and to help clients become aware of and antiphonal to the action tendencies toward which feelings prompt them (Greenberg, 2006, p. 501).EFT involves the therapists creative involvement with the clients in a manner in which the therapist moves the clients into a structure of therapy that progresses beyond simple construction. That is, although EFT initially in truth much outlines conflict struggles in the clients with simple terms and concepts to invite client acceptance of the problems, as therapy moves onward, painting pictures becomes more of the art of therapy (Johnson, 2003). Experiential theory incorporates the bring to pass being of the client in the present here-and-now focus. Johnson observed that it is the exception rather than the rule to delve into deep unconscious experience or repressed memories, as there is plenty of substantial information right in front of the therapists eyes (Johnson, 2003). The substance of EFT is the client, including what and how the client experienced parley in the clients senses, body, and expressions (Perls, 1969). The verbal communication is secondary to the therapist Words can lie, but expression does not. EFT and Humanistic TheoryAfter the first movement of psychodynamic psychology and the second movement of behaviorism, the trinity movement of sympatheticistic psychology (later, Humanistic Existential) emphasizes in the client a potential capability toward self-directed growth (Corey, 2001, p. 205). . The therapists belief that the client has both qualification and desire to fulfil potentialities positively af fects the clients progress Individuals have within themselves vast resources for self-understanding and for altering their self concepts, basic attitudes, and self-directed behavior these resources can be tapped if a definable climate of facilitative psychological attitudes can be provided (Rogers, 2001, p. 115). Thus, EFT adopts a therapeutic act of honoring the client as a unique human being (Greenberg & Johnson, 2005 Johnson, 2003). This empathic interaction increases a clients congruence, a term Rogers used to describe the incorporation of self and experiences as they become more similar, unitary, and true. EFT and Existential TheoryExistential theory concerns itself with core structures of the self, including meaning, being, crisis, anxiety, freedom, responsibility, guilt, and death. While Johnson summarized the I-thou relationship, an existential concept from Martin Buber (Greenberg & Johnson, 2005 Johnson, 2003), she presented presumptuously existential concepts within the EF T theoretical framework. Studying the client from a phenomenological perspective embraces the premise that the client is the expert in his or her world. The job of the client is to assist the therapist to enter that clients experiential world. As such, this position of the client enhances the qualities necessary for the therapist to be as accepting, nonjudgmental, and genuine as

Race and Your Community Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Race and Your Community - Essay ExampleThese forces all contribute to the racial attitudes of the commonwealth I know, as well as the leaders, in the down in the mouth town where I live. Though I look like the majority, my heart and beliefs argon a minority opinion. To begin this discussion, it should be noted that I believe that I live in a largely racist community. Minorities make up slight than two percent of the total population, with just one percent African-Americans. Because of the low numbers of minorities, it is easier for the residents to carry on racist attitudes, while not ever confronting or experiencing any racial situations. Conversations are peppered with the N word and Latinos are usually referred to by using a racial slur. This is the acceptable attitude in this small town in the middle South. As a transplanted Caucasian Yankee, I was appalled and offended when I was first confronted by these attitudes, but as a newcomer I thought it would be a better strategy to keep my mouth shut and not talk out of school. Indeed, I a lot feel guilty for my silence and lack of courage. These attitudes have no doubt been handed down from the older generations to the children since the days of slavery. Yet, as I noted, there are no minorities to be experienced first hand, and everything is simply learned through the social interaction of friends and families. As for me, I have always, and continue to feel, like an noncitizen when it comes to attitudes towards race. Though I look like 98 percent of the community, I have a very different attitude towards equality. I obviously buzzword know what a person of color feels when they hear a racial slur, but I know that it offends me and I am embarrassed to be in the company of people that use that language. This language also transfers to their other attitudes towards minorities in regards to their abilities, trustworthiness, honesty, or moral fiber. I am sure that I am also thought less of by these
